Units IA, IB and IC are each assessed by a written examination.
Unit DNI is a workplace-based assignment, requiring learners to conduct a review of health and safety arrangements in their own organization

How is the course assessed?

Assessment method of NEBOSH IDiP is based on two steps which are;

  • IA: 3 hours written examination under the invigilation of British Council
  • IB: 3 hours written examination under the invigilation of British Council
  • IC: 3 hours written examination under the invigilation of British Council
  • DNI: Practical report  – Knowledge on application of health and safety theory and practice is tested by Assignment unit (Unit DNI)

FAQ’s:

National Examination Board in occupational safety and health. NEBOSH is considered as an examination board offering qualifications in occupational health, safety and environment.

You have already successfully completed the NEBOSH General Certificate or an equivalent health and safety qualification. You will also need a good working knowledge of English and confident to write in a report style.

It is a degree-level qualification. It lets learner, already working in health and safety, to develop their knowledge and skills in more depth. To pass it a lot of technical information need to cover similar to any course at this level.

You have to absorb a lot of information and use the concepts to prove your understanding.

The NEBOSH Diploma requires minimum of 231 study hours of the course content and approximately 225 hours of private study. For classroom courses it is 30 days. Study will be structured around the 3 exams which take place twice a year in July and January. For DNI assignment and there are 4 submission dates a year: towards the end of February, May, August and November. Typically people take around 20 -26 months.

NEBOSH IDiP is considered a level 6 qualification.
